Kent the Garden of England
A county of beautiful Gardens, Castles, Cathedrals and Charles Dickens.
You will be able to select from below the places of your interest and with the help of your guide create the perfect day. You may wish to visit Greenwich and stand one foot either side of the world on the Prime Meridian, view the Cutty Sark and naval museum. Drive on to Rochester - the childhood home of Charles Dickens with its Norman Castle and Cathedral.
- To one of the splendid Castles, in tranquil countryside, giving an insight into more turbulent days.
- To Canterbury, a medieval city with the 'Prime' Cathedral in Britain. Here in 1170 Thomas a' Becket was murdered and his miracle- working shrine became the centre of Pilgrimage for many in the middle-ages and source of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
Rochester, Greenwich, Canterbury and its Cathedral, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle (home of Ann Boleyn), Dover Castle, Sissinghurst Gardens, Knole House, Chartwell (home of Winston Churchill), Penshurst Place and Royal Tunbridge Wells.
